The Fancy Farmgirls Fall Sale was a lot of firsts for us.
Our first time holding it at the new farmhouse.
Our first time taking on vendors.
Our first time getting all legit and taking credit cards (finally)!
And our first time coming VERY close to all out ugly crying just hours before you all came!
Looks like a pleasant enough fall day huh? What most didn’t see or know was that at ten pm the night before, just hours after all the vendors had meticulously set up their booths…..
Mother Nature thought she’d shake things up a bit and sent a CRAZY two minute microburst windstorm thru our little valley.
IT WAS BAD!
I received the phone call at 10:05 pm
insert shaky voice “Marg, it looks like a war zone over here”.
Surely it couldn’t be as bad as she was making it sound.
IT WAS!
Mother Nature took two minutes to undo hours upon hours of work. I”ll spare you the dramatic details but let’s just say it was a looong night.
BUT….you came! You shopped! And we all went home tired and happy!
All’s well that ends well. So thank you for coming! Thank you for spreading the word! Thank you for braving the cold! And we’re already excited for the spring sale!
Thankyou Tara of TaraLynn Photography for documenting the day for us with your mad photography skills.
We had fun getting the kiddos involved this time selling their “wares”. Wooden pendant banners made by my ten year old.
Driftwood Macrame’s done by my eight year old.
And the most up beat cheerful vendors in all the land!
Farmhouse goodness at every stop.
Munchies to keep up the shopping stamina.
And how many signs is too many because I want them everywhere!
Yep, that sweet little dresser found a new home.
And my little kiddos learned that the sweet popcorn lady has a sweet heart and loves to give out free bags to cute little children.
It was just as fun for us to see all the goodies and displays as we hope it was for you.
Chippy perfection.
And these succulent pumpkins were a hit!
Friday was coooold! But you all are die hards because we were as busy as ever.
We learned the dangers of these goodies at a wedding we did.
Sooo good!
Loved this table setting.
And I’m still holding out for a size 8.5 on those pink booties.
Liz and I both were so happy and impressed with our vendors great attitudes despite Mother Nature’s little joke. We picked their brains for feedback for the next sale and would love for you to give us the same. Number one request. Have a food truck! Request noted!
Feel free to share with us your thoughts. The good, the bad, the ugly. What you’d like to see in the future? And stick around and we’ll let you know when we get to play again in the spring! If you’re interested in being a vendor in our spring sale go HERE
